Hey there! If you’re anything like me, you probably want quick access to your schedule without having to open a new tab every time.

So, I figured out a few simple ways to put Google Calendar right on my Google homepage, and I’m going to show you exactly how I did it!

Why I Wanted Google Calendar on My Homepage

Before we get into the steps, here’s why I did this in the first place:

  • Super Quick Access – No more digging through tabs.
  • Better Organization – I never miss important events now.
  • It’s Just Easy – Everything in one place makes life simpler.

If that sounds good to you, let’s get started!

Method 1: Adding Google Calendar as a Bookmark

This is by far the easiest way to get quick access to Google Calendar.

What I Did:

  1. Opened my browser (I use Chrome, but this works on Firefox, Edge, etc.).
  2. Went to Google Calendar.
  3. Clicked on the ⭐ Star icon in the address bar.
  4. Chose Add to Bookmarks (some browsers call it Add to Favorites).
  5. Named it Google Calendar and clicked Done.

Now, whenever I open my browser, I just click the bookmark, and boom—my calendar is right there!

Method 2: Using a Chrome Extension

If you’re using Google Chrome, you can install a Google Calendar extension to access it even faster.

Here’s How I Did It:

  1. Opened Google Chrome.
  2. Went to the Chrome Web Store.
  3. Searched for “Google Calendar extension”.
  4. Clicked Add to ChromeAdd Extension.
  5. Clicked the puzzle piece 🧩 icon (top-right of Chrome) and pinned the extension.

Now, whenever I click that little calendar icon, I can see my events instantly!

Method 3: Adding Google Calendar to a Custom Homepage

Since iGoogle (Google’s old customizable homepage) is gone, I found a cool alternative: Start.me or Protopage.

How I Did It:

  1. Went to Start.me (you can also try Protopage).
  2. Signed up and logged in.
  3. Clicked Add Widget → Searched for Google Calendar.
  4. Followed the setup instructions to connect my calendar.

Now, every time I open my browser, I see my Google Calendar right on my homepage. Super cool!

Bonus: How I Put Google Calendar on My Phone’s Home Screen

I also wanted Google Calendar on my phone’s home screen, so here’s what I did:

On Android:

  1. Long-pressed an empty space on my home screen.
  2. Tapped Widgets.
  3. Found Google Calendar Widget.
  4. Dragged it to my home screen and resized it.

On iPhone:

  1. Pressed and held the home screen until the apps wiggled.
  2. Tapped the + (plus) icon.
  3. Searched for Google Calendar.
  4. Picked the widget size and tapped Add Widget.

Now, I see my schedule without even opening the app!
